Help Kick Off Operation Christmas Child Season
At Smith Ford Lordsburg, we love to see children smile. That is why we support Operation Christmas Child, a Samaritan's Purse project that provides gifts to children in need worldwide. With our support in Lordsburg, we can help send children the gifts they deserve this Christmas, and we are preparing to provide as much as we can. Join us this season to give children gifts through Operation Christmas Child.
What is Operation Christmas Child?
Operation Christmas Child is a Samaritan's Purse program that sees donated shoeboxes filled with gifts shipped to children who need them worldwide. Last year, over 11 million children received gift-filled shoeboxes. This year, we aim to make the same, if not a bigger, impact with Operation Christmas Child.
How Does it Work?
If you wish to participate and donate, supporting the program is simple. Get a shoebox and fill it up with as many toys and gifts as you can. You will need a $10 donation, which covers the shoebox postage. Once your shoebox begins traveling to its destination, you can track it around the world and see where it ends up. Remember to reach out to our team near Silver City if you have further questions.
Tips to Keep in Mind
When packing your shoebox, we encourage donors to pack in what they can. The more full a shoebox, the more a child will receive. Remember, each shoebox requires a $10 donation to cover postage. Also, keep in mind that there may be restrictions on the types of items you can include in a shoebox. Talk to our team or reach out to Samaritan's Purse to see what items are eligible or ineligible for an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.
